Shenanigans on the Greenbrier River
On April 28, 2008, The Webb Law Firm sponsored a team to participate in the Great Greenbrier River Race in the twenty second annual Great Greenbrier River Race which was held in Marlinton, West Virginia.  The Greenbrier River Trail, a nonprofit organization, sponsors the race and the proceeds from the race are used to improve the Greenbrier River trail.  The Webb Law Firm provided both in-kind support and cash support for the event.  Appropriately named, The Webb Law Firm’s team of Shenanigans competed in the family category. This was the first year that The Webb Law Firm participated in this category and the team did very well.  Out of sixteen family teams, The Webb Law Firm’s sponsored Shenanigans finished tenth.  Team participant Rusty Webb ran three miles in 24:26 while team members Robin Webb and Alexa Webb, age eight, did the seven mile canoe trip in 53:41.  Rusty Webb completed the triathlon by riding the eleven mile bike ride in 44:23 for a total overall time of two hours two minutes and thirty seconds.  This is the fourth year Rusty Webb has participated in the event.  For the last three years, he has participated as a solo male.

Radio station giving away divorce on Valentine's Day
Not everybody likes Valentine's Day. There are as many reasons to hate the holiday as there are to enjoy it. The nearly obligatory cards, candy and stuffed bears can be a bitter reminder to the lonely or an irritation to those trying to bounce back from the expense of the Christmas season.

WKLC-FM (Rock 105) is turning the holiday on its head. This Valentine's Day, the classic rock station is giving away a free divorce to one "lucky" listener.

Jay Nunley is the station's program director and one of the key people responsible for the promotion. He said: "There is the lighter side of Valentine's Day that's all hearts and flowers. Then there's the darker part, where maybe you despise your spouse and resent the entire day."
