Lawyer Bikes, Kayaks to Work |
|
Daily Mail staff
CHARLESTON, W.Va.--Charleston lawyer Rusty Webb has put a new spin on commuting to work.
He bikes for two miles from his Kanawha City home to a dock where a friend permits him to keep his kayak. Then he paddles another two miles along the Kanawha River from 30th Street to Haddad Riverfront Park. From there he carries the 60-pound kayak to his Capitol Street law office.
"I have to change hands a couple of times," he said of toting the watercraft.

Charleston Attorney Files Amended Complaint Against Child Advocate Office |
|
Charleston, West Virginia. On February 24, 2010, Charleston attorney, Charles R. “Rusty” Webb filed an Amended Complaint against the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources and the Bureau for Child Support Enforcement and Policy Studies, Inc., a Colorado Corporation authorized to do business in West Virginia. The Amended Complaint includes six Plaintiffs representing Tucker, Ohio, Kanawha, and Marion counties and adds Heidi Talmage, Deputy General Counsel for the Bureau for Child Support Enforcement, as an additional Defendant, alleging negligent supervision and legal malpractice. The Amended Complaint also adds an additional cause of action in the nature of fraud where the Complaint alleges that the Bureau for Child Support Enforcement, knowing that the statue of limitations had run and had failed to renew the same has systematically attempted to and successfully attempted to have parents of children who have child support judgments sign documents releasing the liens without advising the guardians that the statute of limitations had already run. This cover-up type of activity by the Bureau for Child Support Enforcement and Policy Studies, Inc., ads the dimension of punitive damages to the Complaint which did not exist in the earlier original Complaint and which subjects the Defendants to punitive damages.
If you or someone you know has lost a child support judgment as a result of the application of the statute of limitations and those judgments were being collected by the Bureau for Child Support Enforcement Agency anywhere in West Virginia, even if you are an out of state resident, then go to the website rustywebb.com and complete the questionnaire and submit the same.
